Top Employer 2026 : La Poste, La Banque Postale and La Banque Postale Consumer Finance recognised for their HR practices

On 15 January, the Top Employer Institute – an independent organisation that certifies excellence in HR practices among more than 2,450 employers worldwide – awarded La Poste, La Banque Postale and La Banque Postale Consumer Finance the Top Employer 2026 certification. This recognition highlights companies that stand out for their exemplary HR practices. It strengthens their appeal and employer brand, attracting talent that will contribute to the growth and success of their businesses.

The organisation assesses several key aspects of human resources : talent management, the working environment, training and skills development, well-being at work, and diversity and inclusion.

Among the recognised actions :

Training, mobility and integration :

  • La Poste spends more than €200 million on training every year. To support the transformation of its activities and its employees, it offers innovative career paths that enable people to change jobs or specialise, particularly in data and AI, thanks to its dedicated school, the École de la Data et de l'IA (School of Data and AI). More than 4,000 postal workers have already benefited from these retraining programmes. La Poste also promotes internal mobility through dedicated events, the support of specialist advisers and a skills-job matching solution enhanced by artificial intelligence ;

  • In line with its strategic plan, La Banque Postale is placing managers and employees at the heart of its transformation with a programme based on a change in operational culture that values responsibility, trust, cooperation and impact. At the same time, it has stepped up its integration efforts by opening up its ‘Oh Programme’ to interns and work-study students. The programme includes a digital platform, an integration seminar and field immersion sessions ;

  • Banque Postale Consumer Finance confirms its commitment to integration, training and skills development, in the interests of performance and collective engagement. In 2025, this approach was accompanied by a strategy based on transparency and sharing to disseminate and bring to life the company's strategic plan across all business lines.

Improving quality of life at work, diversity and inclusion :

  • La Poste is committed to the integration of all : young people, with more than 25,000 people under the age of 30 welcomed each year on permanent contracts, fixed-term contracts, work-study programmes or internships. Seniors, since postal workers over the age of 50 represent 49% of the workforce. With 53% of its employees being women, La Poste pursues a proactive policy in favour of professional equality. Finally, the group supports family carers, including nearly 5,000 postal workers who benefit from dedicated schemes ;

  • In 2025, La Banque Postale signed its first social agreement relating to employees who are carers, to support them during this stage of their lives and simplify their work arrangements. In particular, it allows them to take three days of authorised leave per year and has set up a system whereby employees can donate up to 25 days of leave per year to colleagues who are carers. It has also stepped up its efforts to raise awareness and prevent psychosocial risks and promote well-being at work among all employees ;

  • Banque Postale Consumer Finance continues to develop its employee experience practices by enhancing its attractiveness, internal career paths and well-being at work. At the same time, LBPCF is committed to the corporate social responsibility approach of its parent company La Banque Postale, with a strong focus on the Seine-Saint-Denis area, training for younger generations and the employability of people with disabilities.

In 2026, La Poste, La Banque Postale and La Banque Postale Consumer Finance were among the 96 companies certified as ‘Top Employers’ in France.
