in 2025 La Poste Groupe confirms its mission-driven company trajectory
Five years of commitment as a purpose-driven company
In June 2021, La Poste Groupe became the first public-sector organisation to adopt the status of a mission-driven company.
Embedded in its articles of association, its purpose – “Serving everyone, benefiting everyone […]” – guides its actions through four commitments: contributing to regional development and cohesion; support social inclusion; promoting ethical, inclusive and resource-efficient digital services; accelerating the ecological transition for all.
Each year, progress is assessed by the Mission Committee, consisting of members of the Board and qualified external experts.
Our investment in CSR over recent years has been tangible and genuine, and gives us a head start, but we must press ahead with ever greater ambition to create value and set ourselves apart.

Tangible results
La Poste Groupe thus supports more than 419,000 jobs in France (direct, indirect and induced jobs) across the whole country. In terms of social inclusion of the most vulnerable, it has rolled out home support services for more than 285,000 elderly and fragile beneficiaries. It has also helped more than 800,000 people to use digital technology. Finally, the Group has once again this year reduced the carbon intensity of parcel transport and delivery, avoiding emissions of nearly 75,000 metric tons of CO2 equivalent.
An educational and visual approach designed to promote transparency and understanding
Following the launch of a magazine-style publication in 2024, Questions d’engagement, La Poste Groupe is continuing its educational efforts and adopting an infographic format.
The aim is to make the results more accessible and easier to understand, whilst highlighting the tangible benefits for society: its impact as a mission-driven company.
A renewed Mission Committee
On 1 June 2026, La Poste Groupe renewed its Mission Committee. Chaired by Martin Hirsch, the Mission Committee’s mandate is to monitor La Poste Groupe’s impact, to become a tool for strategic foresight, and to make the Group’s mission a vehicle for cohesion and trust with its stakeholders, particularly its employees, both in France and internationally.
I am delighted to be leading a panel of external and internal experts, with the aim of helping La Poste […] to make the greatest possible impact on social cohesion, regional cohesion and the environment, by balancing economic performance with a vision that serves the common good and the public interest.

A challenging roadmap
The new Mission Committee will focus primarily on:
Measuring the Group’s societal footprint and impacts using benchmark methodologies;
Analysing the Group’s contribution to societal resilience;
Clarifying the Group’s expected contribution to strengthening social cohesion and citizenship;
Promoting social mobility and employee engagement as drivers of performance, service quality, attractiveness and transformation;
Integrate issues relating to artificial intelligence and their consequences for the Group’s mission commitments (social, environmental and ethical implications);
Review the mission-driven company’s indicators to ensure monitoring is focused on the Group’s key impact issues.
We are setting ourselves a challenging roadmap: to make our mission a driving force for action for the planet, society and local communities, and equally for all employees across the Group, including those overseas.
