In order to meet the changing needs of its customers and reduce its carbon footprint, while also ensuring the long-term viability of the universal postal service, La Poste has decided to revamp its mail-service range. As of 1 January 2023, customers will be able to choose between 3 types of letters, each with a different colour stamp: the Red e-Letter (Priority letter), for urgent mail to be delivered the next day; the Green Letter (Standard letter), for every-day letters, with delivery within 3 days, and the Turquoise "Services Plus" Letter (Track and trace letter), for sending important documents that require tracking notifications. In 2023, the cost of sending a Green Letter will remain at the current price of €1.16, to help protect the purchasing power of people living in France. The distribution of letters and newspapers/magazines, as well as parcel deliveries and local services will continue to operate 6 days a week.
