Pickup has reached 6,000 collection points in France and reaffirms the vital role played by its 17,000 retail collection points

Accelerated roll-out for a stronger regional network
In three years, Pickup has increased the number of its collection points by a factor of 7.5, rising from 800 at the end of 2022 to 6,000 today.
Building on its pioneering role in 2014, Pickup has accelerated its expansion by focusing on strategic partnerships, combined with a sophisticated geomarketing approach. Roll-outs are targeted, complementing the existing network of collection points. The aim is simple : to become an integral part of customers’ daily lives – in stations, post offices, shops, retail chains and more.
Pickup has also developed new formats, in line with changing expectations and usage patterns : low-height lockers, ‘tiny’ lockers with narrow columns, and multi-service Fresh lockers combining dry and chilled compartments. The C0 – Public site selection process involves local consultation with stakeholders. The aim is to ensure convenient access for users whilst ensuring the lockers blend seamlessly into the surroundings.
Among Pickup’s major innovations is the launch in 2023 of the first solar-powered lockers in France. This energy-autonomous model requires no installation work. The result is a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and a lower environmental impact, given that a solar-powered locker consumes 10 times less energy than a conventional locker.¹
Pickup lockers and more
Local shops are much more than just logistics hubs. They contribute to the vitality of local communities and to social cohesion. They are familiar faces who know their customers, their habits and their preferences. This is added value that only a human touch can provide.

Chairman of Pickup
These 6,000 collection points are in addition to the 17,000 retail collection points that have formed the backbone of the Pickup network for the past 25 years. Long-standing partners who offer personalised services, support and flexibility, working closely with local residents. Highly popular, they remain firmly established in France, with 57% of users, compared to a European average of 24%².
Pickup works daily with its retail partners to boost their visibility, footfall and turnover. This partnership is bearing fruit : according to an Ipsos 2025 study³, Pickup is the preferred retail partner network in France, the most recommended, and is ranked number one for overall support and customer service.
A campaign to embody complementarity
To mark this milestone, Pickup is launching a special sticker campaign on a selection of parcel lockers.⁴
These unique visual designs, which blend the parcel locker with the collection point, highlight nearby retail collection points in each instance to promote their shops and businesses. Opticians, cobblers, florists, grocers… Pickup uses the visibility of the parcel lockers to create links to local businesses.
“Pick-up points and parcel lockers are not mutually exclusive. For us, they are complementary solutions which, when combined intelligently, offer everyone the freedom to choose how they collect or drop off parcels, depending on their needs at the time: the support of a trusted local shop or the convenience of a parcel locker available 24/7,” concludes Maxime d’Hauteville.
