La Poste opens its first biogas station in Bouloc

The latest generation station
Open since April 14, 2025, this station, initiated by La Poste, is located close to 2 major postal sites and benefits from 2 terminals/4 biogas fuelling lanes. The station is primarily designed to accommodate heavy goods vehicles and the professional fleets of La Poste and its transport partners; but it can also accommodate light vehicles or buses and coaches, and is open to the public on a self-service basis 24 hours a day.
A pioneer in the electrification of last-mile fleets, La Poste has set itself the goal of decarbonizing medium- and long-distance transport by 2022. A major player in French transport, with 3,500 trucks on the road every day to deliver letters and parcels, La Poste is working to significantly reduce its emissions from medium- and long-distance transport, and has made a strong commitment : 50% of the kilometers covered by La Poste in France will be done by low-carbon trucks by 2030.
To achieve this, La Poste has invested 400 million euros to convert its truck fleet to low-carbon energies and to support its 400 transport partners in their transition.
With the opening of its first biogas station, La Poste has taken a major step towards the deployment of low-carbon transport. By supporting energy suppliers in the deployment of refuelling stations, La Poste is positioning itself as a gas pedal of alternative energies in the transport sector.

With 18% of its low-carbon routes already in place, La Poste is stepping up its use of alternative energies, and will be taking the lead in deploying 6 refueling stations across the country by 2027.
